Family Owned and Operated

 

Dancing Hill Christmas Tree Farm is owned and operated by Richard Miles and family. After serving in the Coast Guard, Richard joined the Virginia Department of Forestry for the rest of his career. While working for the forestry department, he decided to plant a few trees. In 1980, the first trees (nearly 1,000 white pine) were planted on Dancing Hill. 

 

Richard retired from the Virginia Department of Forestry in 2002. His plan was to make a few dollars and maybe even help pay for his children's college someday. Since then, the business has grown but we remain dedicated to our small, family-oriented business model.
